District Treasurer – Nigel Needham – Nigel is responsible for the finances of Alfreton District

District Commissioner  – Craig Marsh – Craig manages and supports the Scout District to ensure it runs effectively and that Scouting within the District develops in accordance with the rules and policies of The Scout Association so that that the District provides good quality Scouting for young people and proactively supports and manages adults in the District.

Ensure that the District thrives and has the best systems in place to support the Groups, to support all adult volunteers in the District and to develop Scouting in the District.
Provide line management and support to the adults in the District that directly report to you including setting objectives for their work and holding regular reviews and one to one meetings.
Produce a vision for the District and implement a development plan to meet that vision.
Ensure that Scouting in the District is attractive to young people and adults from all backgrounds in the District.
Ensure that the District has an adequate team of supported and appropriate adults working effectively together and with others to meet the Scouting needs of the area.
Ensure that problems within the District are resolved so that excellent Scouting is provided to young people in the District.
Work with the County/Area/Regional(Scotland) Commissioner and other District Commissioners in the County / Area / Region(Scotland) to ensure that the Scouting in the County / Area /Region(Scotland) thrives.

Deputy District Commissioner –Helen Needham – Helen assists Craig with the running of the District and steps in when Craig is unavailable. She is also the Scout Leader for South Normanton Scouts.

District Youth Commissioner – Ysobel Garret –  Izzy will work in partnership with the District Commissioner and Chairperson of the District Executive Committee. Izzy is there to ensure that young people from 6 – 25 years are involved and engaged in every decision that shapes their Scouting experience locally and to empower young people to share their ideas and have a meaningful voice in planning, implementing and reviewing their programme and opportunities.

Campsite Coordinator- Laura Lloyd– Laura chairs a campsite committee to ensure that the campsite is available for use as the District requires.

Training Advisers– Helen Marriott & Laura Lloyd- Helen and Laura support the Leaders within the District with their training.

Acting ADC Beavers – Claire Dyson– Claire works in partnership with the District Commissioner to ensure that effective operation of the Beaver Scout Section in their District in accordance with the rules as laid down in POR of The Scout Association.

Acting ADC Cubs – TBC- works in partnership with the District Commissioner to ensure that effective operation of the Cub Scout Section in their District in accordance with the rules as laid down in POR of The Scout Association.

Acting ADC Scouts – Bernard Marriott- Bernard works in partnership with the District Commissioner to ensure that effective operation of the Scout Section in their District in accordance with the rules as laid down in POR of The Scout Association.

District Explorer Scout Commissioner -Adi Marriott- Adi is the Manager of the Explorer Scout Section. He is responsible for its effective operation of the developing of quality Explorer Scouting in the District in accordance with the Purpose, Principles and Policies of The Scout Association. This may be with the help of District Explorer Scout Administrators, District Explorer Scout Leaders and Explorer Scout Leader (Young Leaders) as appropriate.

ADC Young Leaders – ???– is involved with the organisation and management of our Young Leaders, 14-18 year olds who wish to experience Scouts from a Leaders perspective.

Website Coordinator– Adi Marriott- Adi is tasked with the upkeep of the Alfreton Scouts Website and is supported by Eoin Dunne, Adi is also the DESC and assists Darren with the district explorers, He also looks after the district radios, and provides medical cover at some events.
